What we do

Three integrated capabilities, delivered by a single accountable team.

Clients may engage Renorobot for an individual workstream or for the full program. Most begin with sourcing and expand into quality assurance and logistics as the relationship matures.

01

Sourcing & supplier management

We identify and qualify manufacturers against your product specification, target landed cost, capacity, and compliance profile, not on price alone. Our China team conducts on-site audits, negotiates commercial terms in Mandarin, and manages the supplier relationship within a workflow aligned to North American business hours.

Vetted shortlist · On-site audits · PO management through ex-works release

02

Quality control & inspection

Trained inspectors deploy to the factory at each critical production stage: initial production check, during-production inspection, and pre-shipment inspection, applying category-specific AQL standards and your buyer's acceptance criteria. Issues are surfaced and resolved at source, before goods leave the floor.

IPC · DPI · PSI · Same-day photographic reports

03

Logistics & delivery

We manage the full international logistics chain (ocean and air freight, customs brokerage, and final delivery) through a coordinated network of carriers, forwarders, and licensed brokers. One program invoice, one landed-cost reconciliation, one accountable point of contact.

Ocean & air · Customs brokerage · DC delivery · Landed-cost reconciliation

The program

From product brief to landed delivery, managed by a single team.

Most program failures originate in the handoffs between sourcing agents, manufacturers, third-party inspectors, and freight forwarders. Renorobot consolidates these functions under one operational team, with unified reporting and a single line of commercial accountability across all seven phases.

  1. 01

    Brief

Clients submit a product specification, target landed cost, volume forecast, and program timeline. Within five business days, we return a structured sourcing plan, a preliminary supplier shortlist, an indicative pricing range, and a recommended schedule.

  2. 02

    Source

Our China team shortlists three to five qualified manufacturers, conducts in-person facility audits covering capacity, quality systems, and compliance, and negotiates commercial terms. The client retains final approval over supplier selection.

  3. 03

    Sample

We manage successive sampling cycles until the product meets specification, including primary and secondary packaging, retail labelling, multilingual artwork, and regulatory marks for the Canadian and U.S. markets.

  4. 04

    Produce

Production commences against the approved purchase order. Our quality team is present on-site at defined milestones, allowing issues to be intercepted while remediation is still inexpensive.

  5. 05

    Inspect

A pre-shipment inspection is conducted prior to carton sealing, applying ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling at agreed AQL thresholds. Same-day reports include photographic evidence, defect classification, and a formal ship-or-hold recommendation.

  6. 06

    Ship

We book ocean or air freight on the lane and service level appropriate to your timeline and budget, file all export and import documentation, coordinate with licensed customs brokers in Canada and the U.S., and provide container-level tracking.

  7. 07

    Land

On delivery, clients receive a consolidated program invoice, a single bill of lading, and a full landed-cost reconciliation against the original quotation, including FOB pricing, freight, duty, brokerage, and any program-specific fees.

Warehousing & inland logistics

Your goods always have a place to land.

Renorobot operates owned warehouse capacity, not a brokered third-party network. When a vessel arrives ahead of forecast, when a buyer's DC appointment shifts, when a freight lane disrupts, your inventory has a controlled landing point, not a demurrage problem.

01 Capability

Buffer & safety stock

Hold replenishment inventory against forecast variance, promotional surges, and unplanned supply disruption. Your retail program continues even when a vessel arrives late or a factory misses a cadence.

02 Capability

Inspection & rework hold

Goods arriving with isolated defects do not need to be refused or destroyed. We stage, inspect, sort, and rework on the floor, and forward only conforming units to the buyer's DC.

03 Capability

Cross-dock & consolidation

Receive multiple inbound containers, deconsolidate, sort by destination DC, and dispatch on the buyer's scheduled inbound appointment. One inbound, multiple synchronised outbounds.

04 Capability

Final-mile coordination

LTL, FTL, and dedicated-equipment dispatch to North American distribution centres. Appointment booking, ASN transmission, and proof-of-delivery reconciliation handled within the program.

Why owned capacity matters

Brokered third-party warehouses optimise for their own utilisation. Owned capacity, integrated with our sourcing and quality teams, optimises for your program timeline, from inbound clearance through outbound appointment.

Case 01 · Technical apparel & uniforms

Major Canadian outdoor apparel brand

Technical seasonal collection delivered ahead of national campaign launch.

98%+

first-pass inspection acceptance

0

post-shipment chargebacks

Challenge

A leading Canadian outdoor and performance apparel brand needed to scale a technical seasonal collection (waterproof outerwear, insulated mid-layers, and accessories) across multiple colourways and size runs, with a fixed on-shelf date tied to a national marketing campaign. The incumbent supply chain was unable to hold sampling timelines.

Renorobot's response

Our Tianjin team qualified three technical-apparel factories within four weeks, ran parallel sampling cycles to compress fit and performance approval, and deployed dedicated quality oversight through production, including in-line seam-seal testing, waterproof-membrane inspection, and trim verification. Freight was booked on an accelerated ocean lane with pre-cleared customs entries.

Outcome

The full collection landed at the brand's North American distribution centres several business days ahead of the campaign launch, with first-pass inspection acceptance above 98% and zero post-shipment chargebacks.

National real-estate developer

delay claims on imported materials

Challenge

A real-estate developer required a coordinated import program for a multi-tower residential project of 200 units, with combined construction costs in excess of $100M. The scope spanned interior and exterior finishes, structural glazing, doors and hardware, and millwork, required to land on a phased construction schedule with no tolerance for delay penalties.

Renorobot's response

Renorobot acted as the single accountable sourcing and logistics partner across more than a dozen specialised factories, qualifying suppliers for curtain-wall glazing, architectural finishes, hardware, and joinery, then coordinating staggered production and consolidated container loads to align with the construction site's pour and envelope schedules.

Outcome

All 200 units were delivered on the contracted construction schedule with zero delay claims attributable to imported materials, and the program closed under budget on freight and brokerage against the original cost plan.

Case 03 · Agriculture · Turnkey fit-out

North American large-scale agricultural operator

Turnkey fit-out of a new 10M sq ft farm: equipment, warehouses, irrigation, and greenhouses.

10M

sq ft farm fully equipped and operational

1

accountable partner across every supplier category

Challenge

A North American operator was bringing a new 10-million-square-foot farming operation online and needed the entire site equipped from the ground up: tractors, implements and farming equipment, pre-fabricated warehouse buildings, a full irrigation system, and commercial greenhouse structures. The program spanned a dozen distinct supplier categories with hard dependencies on each other and a single planting-season deadline. The client had no appetite for managing dozens of overseas vendors, freight contracts, and inspection regimes in parallel.

Renorobot's response

Renorobot acted as the single accountable partner for the entire site fit-out. We qualified specialised manufacturers across each category (farming equipment, pre-fabricated steel warehouse structures, drip and pivot irrigation components, and greenhouse framing and glazing), ran factory audits and first-article inspections, and sequenced production so structures, equipment, and irrigation arrived in the right order against the construction schedule. Freight was consolidated across multiple ocean lanes, customs entries were pre-cleared, and on-site delivery was staged to match crews and pad readiness.

Outcome

The full 10-million-square-foot operation was equipped and brought to operational readiness on a single coordinated program: warehouses erected, irrigation commissioned, greenhouses standing, and farming equipment delivered and accepted, all sourced, inspected, shipped, and landed under one accountable contract.

The team

A bilingual, bicultural team operating in both source and destination markets.

Our Montréal office operates in French, English, and Mandarin. Our Tianjin operations centre is staffed by Mandarin-, English-, and French-speaking professionals with deep experience on Chinese factory floors.

Clients communicate with us in the language of their choice; we communicate with manufacturers in theirs. Translation latency, misinterpretation risk, and the cultural distance that typically degrades supplier relationships are removed by design.
